Dorset Youth Academy Success

Marc and Aimee from the West Moors Memorial Bowls Club Youth Squad were amongst a team of 14 young bowlers taking on Bristol IBC in February. They both played brilliantly, with Marc winning 3 of his 4 matches including his 4’s, singles and doubles match with Aimee as his partner.

Aimee also won her singles match and got a mention in the article posted on the Dorset Youth Bowls Academy blog. The weekend concluded with the Steele/Kite trophy being presented to the captain of the Dorset team.

WE are recruiting

Ever fancied trying bowls - We have two free open days for you to know about: Sunday 24th April and Sunday 29th May. It's the civilised yet fiercely competitive sport that has something for everyone, indoors and outdoors - we'll have both on offer, for men, women and juniors, playing either just socially or in competitive leagues throughout Dorset and the New Forest.

For more information, please call Trish Douglass (number here) or fill out the Contact form (here).

Just come along on the day, 10am to 4pm and bring a flat pair shoes with you. Our friendly, experienced coaches and players will be on hand to help and assist, giving you a great introduction to the sport that has no gap between men and women or between any age - our members range from 6 to 96!!

We need YOU!
